Book by Willam J. Casey, the director of the CIA, inscribed to Abraham Shalom Bendor, the director of Shin Bet, the Israel Security Agency.

“To Mr. Bendor in appreciation of the relationship between our services. William J. Casey” – reads the dedication, and it refers to the expanded cooperation between the two services during the Casey-era (1981–84).

Casey provided Israeli intelligence with reconnaissance satellite data and sensitive photographs that the Israelis were denied formerly. These satellite photos were considered invaluable inside the Israeli intelligence community, often referred as “Casey’s gift”, and they were used aid in targeting for instance in the “Operation Opera” the attack against the Iraqi nuclear reactor “Osirak”.
