Kassák’s debut book, a collection of short stories. The cover was designed by Béla Uitz, a close associate of Kassák. From 1916 they co-edited the major Hungarian avant-garde magazine “MA”.

Lajos Kassák (1887–1967) was a Hungarian poet, author, painter, theoretician of art; the chief figure of the Hungarian Avant-garde movement.

Béla Uitz (1887–1972) was a Hungarian avant-garde, activist painter and graphic artist.
