Mucha’s cycle of 20 canvases depicting the mythology and history of the Czechs and the Slavic people were created between 1910 and 1928. The first part of the series, eleven canvases were first shown to the public in 1919. The exhibition was held in Klementinum (Prague) and it was accompanied by this booklet with an introduction by the artist himself and reproductions of 6 paintings with explanatory texts.
