Budapest: Magyar Muhely, 1933. First edition. Original illustrated paper wrappers. 142 p. In very good condition.

Richly illustrated Hungarian publication of modern domestic design, presenting functionalist and modernist interiors, furniture, and applied arts in text and image.

Illustrated survey of contemporary Hungarian domestic design, presenting modern interiors, furniture, and applied arts in text and image. The volume documents work by leading figures of interwar Hungarian modernism, including Lajos Kozma, György Fränkel, Gyula Kaesz, Farkas Molnár, Pál Vágó, and Zsuzsanna Kovács, alongside applied arts objects by István Gádor, Géza Gorka, Margit Tevan, Margit Kovács, Éva Szabó, and István Irsai. The photographic material, forming a central component of the book, was produced by Zoltán Seidner, József Pécsi, Márta Rédner, and Juci Laub.

Typography by György Nemes. The cover design, in its color scheme and typographic treatment, shows a clear affinity with Bauten und Pläne by Max Taut (1927).

Edited by the architect György Fränkel (later Almár; 1895–1974), who studied in Budapest and began his professional career in Berlin in the studio of Bruno Paul.
