Letter to Gyorgy Spiro

The recipient first visited the United States in 1984. According to Kertész’s letter, he was in charge of Spiró’s affairs in Hungary during his absence as n “secretary.” In this regard, he mentions publishers, honoraria, and contracts. He also sends Spiró the “last copy that could be sent” of Sorstalanság (Fatelessness is the most imortant novel by Imre Kertész, winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize for literature), about which he notes that “this book was published with such unfortunate typography that I don’t even understand how it could be read.” He also mentions the upcoming new edition.
