Interesting 18th-century Spanish dyeing manual and recipes for wool and cloth coloring.

During the Middle Ages, Spain was known for its high-quality wool, particularly from the region of Castile. The textile industry flourished, and there was a growing need for knowledge on dyeing techniques. However, much of this knowledge was transmitted orally or through apprentice systems rather than formal texts. The early modern period saw the emergence of printed manuals on dyeing techniques, indicative of the industry's increasing complexity. The Enlightenment in the 18th century witnessed a proliferation of technical books that advanced dyeing processes through scientific methodologies.
