Rezso Balint was the brother of art writer Jenő Bálint. From 1906 he studied in Nagybány and at the private school of Ferenc Szablya-Frischauf. He trained in Paris in 1909, shared a studio with Modigliani, and exhibited together with Archipenko. He was one of the members of Kéve, and in 1911-1912 he worked at the artists' colony in Kecskemét. From 1920 he lived in Izbég.
