It is the Munka-Circe who introduced social aspects of photography in Hungary. Not merely publishing such images in Kassák’s periodical “Munka” but organized a group of photographers of the same interest (among the members: Francis (Ferenc) Haar, György Kepes, Árpád Szélpál, Miklós Müller, Emil Gyagyovszky, Lajos Lengyel, Tibor Bass, Teréz Bergmann, László Bruck, László Reiter, Sándor Frühof). To show their work for the public, “Munka-Circle” organized an exhibition (on April 2, 1932; in Szolnok, Hungary). It was shut down by the police one day after its opening. This photobook “A mi életünkből” accompanied the exhibition and it was collected and destroyed by the authorities. Only a few copies survived.
