Old collection stamp on b4v. Paper tanned, water stained. Occasional notes in ink by a near contemporary hand. Overall in very good condition.

A scarce and early Lyonese-edition of this medieval bestseller.

The second edition of the Gesta in Lyon, the first by Jean de La Place. USTC lists only 2 copies (with Simon Vincent as co-publisher) in institutional holdings in France and Spain (Bibliothèque municipale Beaune; Universitat de Barcelona). Nice gothic typography, with numerous woodcut initials. USTC 155578.
