The Warsaw Jewish community was the second largest in the world, second only to New York City. When Soviet troops liberated a devastated Warsaw on January 17, 1945 some 174,000 people were left in the city - less than 6% of the prewar population. Approximately 11,500 of those survivors were Jews.
An extraordinarily valuable resource for genealogical research.
