One of the less known texts of 18th-century French oriental literature. Published anonymously, but attributed to Lancelin de Laval, the 18th-century French author of gallant novels among others Les amour de Mahomet. A different version of the present text was published a year earlier under a slightly different title (Constantinople: Ibrahim Muley).
