An anonymously published Catholic attack on the Huguenots who distribute placards and libels against orthodoxy. The prohibition of such defamatory publications was one of the main provisions of the 1562 Edict of January.
Scarce, USTC, and FB (French Vernacular Books) list only one copy under the exact title which contains “manans et habitans en la ville”, however, it seems that the other title (6 copies), lacking the aforementioned words in the bibliographies, is, in fact, the same.
