Christoph Gottlieb von Murr (6 August 1733 – 8 April 1811) was a polymathic German scholar, based in Nuremberg. He was a historian and magistrate. He edited and contributed to significant cultural and scientific journals.
"....I therefore send 1 conv.thaler for the portrait, and 2 [Gulden] and 36 [Kreuzer] for Hrn Härtel for the portraits. The Notte des Correggio von Saragal stung, 2 years ago I could have had it for 2" - Below is a note from Breitkopf & Härtel that the amount of 2 guilders and 36 kreuzers was correctly received. - The painting "La notte" (The Holy Night) by Correggio is in the "Alte Meister" picture gallery in Dresden.
