Il termine cette très longue lettre par la citation du général de Gaulle : « Si l'oeuvre que j'ai pu, non pas accomplir, mais l'oeuvre que j'ai pu représenter - si elle aboutit à la tranquillité - à la prospérité et à la Paix : J'aurai gagné ma vie. » « A mon tour je pourrai dire moi aussi "j'aurai gagné ma vie si vous me permettez d'être le dramaturge de cette Alchimie du Cinéma qui permettra d'assurer la pérennité de son action à travers l'avenir.
