Samizdat edition of Hrabal’s book, of which the first edition, published in 1970, was banned and destroyed.

Published by Proti všem (Against All), the copies were made by Miloš Volák, who had access to photocopiers at his workplace at the Czechoslovak State Bank.

Samizdats by Proti všem were made in fewer than 20 copies, which makes this item extremely rare.
