Five issues of the extremely scarce, richly illustrated Avant-Garde journal, Art.
The magazine was published in ten issues between 1932–1934. According to the editors, it would better have been called “Anti-Art” as the articles often criticized traditional arts and introduced the modernist movements coming from Europe.
The editor, Enric Crous-Vidal (1908–1987) was a cartoonist, typographer and graphic designer who was part of an Avant-Garde collective from Lleida. He became one of the most well-known Spanish typographers.
Extremely scarce, Worldcat couldn’t trace these issues in institutional holdings.
