The catalogue was published for an exhibition held by Amigos del Arte in Buenos Aires. It includes the list of works and a photographic reproduction of one piece of each artist.
The contributors were leading modernist artists – mainly Argentinian – such as Ernesto Scotti, Jorge Larco, Pedro Domínguez Neira, Juan Del Prete, Emilio Centurión, Victor Pisarro and Raquel Forner.
Amigos del Arte (1924–1942) was the most important cultural institution in Argentina at the beginning of the 20th Century. Founded for the promotion of Argentinian art, they organized several modernist exhibitions.
