One of the earliest books by Lem. The last story of the collection Dzienniki gwiazdowe Ijona Tichego, is the first appearance of Lem’s recurring character Ijon Tichy, the space traveller.
Stanisław Lem (1921–2006), the author of Solaris, was a Polish science fiction writer, the most celebrated SF author in the Communist world.
The cover was designed by Jan Młodożeniec (1929–2000), a Polish graphic designer and book illustrator.
