Portfolio of ten linocuts of the Hungarian painter, Ferenc Ács.

The masters of Ferenc Ács (1876–1949) were Bertalan Székely (1835–1910) as well as Simon Hollósy (1857–1918), who invited him to the artists’ colony of Nagybánya, which represented the most important movement in the artistic life in Hungary at the beginning of the 20th century, namely the naturalist and plen-air movements. His works were exhibited across Hungary and internationally. From 1906 he lived and worked in Kolozsvár, where two years later he opened his school. His works can be found in the collection of several museums, including the Hungarian National Gallery.
