The poster was banned due to its style and explicit eroticism that was too much for the Hungarian Communist censorship.
Presumably, that’s the reason why the folio with the double-image remained uncut.
György Kemény (b. 1936) is a Hungarian graphic artist, a pioneer of Pop Art in the Eastern Bloc.
