1931. Two sets of painted designs. Altogether fifteen caricatures. ca. 190 × 230 and 240 × 320 mm. Notes and dates on verso. In fine condition.

Fifteen caricatures about elections, mocking the process, the participants or making wordplay jokes related to the election. Published in “Kis Újság” an illustrated political daily newspaper which was ideologically close to the Independent Smallholders' Party.

The Hungarian Parliamentary Election in 1931 was resulted with the victory of the Unity Party (Egyéges Párt) the union of the Independent Smallholders' Party and the Christian National Union Party just as the prior elections in 1922 and 1926 and subsequent votes in 1935 and 1939.

Zoltán Forrai (1901–1996) was Hungarian painter and graphic artist. From 1939 he lived in The Netherlands and worked as a comic artist and photographer.
