First Hungarian edition of Bode’s “Allgemeine Betrachtungen über das Weltgebäude” (after the 1804, Berlin edition.) which was originally a part of Bode’s most famous work “Anleitung zur Kenntniss des gestirnten Himmels”. With a printed dedication, a foreword and a short vocabulary by the translator.

Johann Elert Bode (1747–1826) was a German astronomer who determined the orbit of Uranus and suggested the planet’s name that was discovered by his friend William Herschel. Also known for his reformulation and popularization of the (Titius-)Bode law and credited with the discovery of Bode’s Galaxy (Messier 81, NGC 3031). Bode was the director of the Berlin observatory, the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut and he was elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and fellow of the Royal Society.
