In publisher’s constructivist wrappers printed in red and black. 198, (2) p., and 11 plates. Wrappers, and pages yellowed due to ageing. Few pages stained with no effect on legibility. Overall in fine condition.

Scarce Hungarian edition of the anti-Soviet book by Joseph Douillet, the Belgian diplomat who lived in Russia and the Soviet Union from 1891 to 1926 and serverd as Belgian consul until he was arrested and imprisoned for nine months in 1925.

The publication is illustrated with 11 plates of shocking images of the Bolshevik-terror.

Hergé’s “Tintin au pays des Soviets” (Tintin in the Land of the Soviets; 1930) was partly based upon this publication.

The book was banned in the Communist Hungary, all found copies were destroyed.
