One of Klinger’s most famous designs that advertises the successful military farce by Roda Roda and Carl Rössler.
Julius Klinger (1876–1942) was the leading commercial graphic artist of his time in Ausria and Germany. His advertisement poster of the comedy “Der Feldherrnhügel”, became one of his most successful designs.
The play written by Roda Roda and Carl Rössler, contrasted the easy-going Austrian army with that of the far more strict Prussians, and was staged at the Lustspielhaus, a private theatre in Berlin.
