The story of the famous Hungarian geologist József Szabó's trip to America. In the summer of 1882, the author goes to Montreal for the itinerant meeting of the "American association for advancement of science". The first section of the book contains a description of the trip, and then presents the country's natural conditions, water system and climate. In the next section, the author characterizes America from an ethnographic and cultural point of view, and tells in detail about the peoples of North America, education, teaching, religiosity and respect for women. He has been visited Sacramento, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Wyoming, Washington and many other places.
