Karasz was a Hungarian lieutenant general-deputy minister, major general, in 1978 the minister of the interior's deputy for state security.

"Kim" Philby (1912 - 1988) was a Soviet intelligence officer who became a senior officer in the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, MI6) and worked as a double agent until 1963. when he fled to the Soviet Union from the threat of exposure. One of the greatest known intelligence agents of the 20th century. His work was recognized in Great Britain in 1946 with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (revoked in 1965), and in the Soviet Union in 1965 with the highest Soviet honor, the Order of Lenin.
