Ferenc Tary he graduated from the National Academy of Applied Arts, majoring in decoration and painting with distinction. In 1907, he received a József Ferencz scholarship. In 1908, at the Budapest College of Fine Arts, he obtained a drawing teacher's certificate from the National Drawing Teacher Examination Board. From 1922 to 1952, he taught drawing at an industrial school. His work is primarily the design and painting of church frescoes and altarpieces.
