Mária Fáy Béláné Mocsáry ( 1845–1917) was the first Hungarian woman traveller and an early feminist. After her husband’s death in 1890 she started her travels, first shorter journeys to the Balkans, later longer trips to Asia and North-America. In 1904 she planned a tour around the world, but she gave it up because of the outbrake of the Russo-Japanese War.
