An extremely scarce source of this event of the Thirty Years’ War. A contemporary account on the first siege of Neisse in Silesia (today Nysa, Poland). Neisse was invaded by the Swedish army three times during the Thirty Years’ War, first in July 1639. The defense was organized by Johann Balthasar Liesch of Hornau the diocesan ordinary and governor of the city, and eventually, this time, the enemy withdrew.
Scarce, to our extent of knowledge the text was only known in a single copy until now (see: Scholz 2011., pp. 258–9 note 134; Grünhagen 1886), and WorldCat locates no copies.
