First part of Schubert’s famous song cycle for voice and piano, the Winterreise, in publisher’s wrappers. Franz Schubert’s Romantic cycle of 24 songs for male voice and piano was composed in 1827 with words by German poet Wilhelm Müller. The composition was published in two parts, separately and later joint, and each containing twelve songs. The first part appeared in January 1828 the second in December, shortly after Schubert’s death.
