A bibliographically unrecorded, contemporary Spanish report on the Siege of Fuenterrabía of 1638.

In 1638 June, as part of the operations of the Thirty Years’ War and the Franco-Spanish War, the invading French army besieged the coastal Basque city of Hondarribia (Fuenterrabía) for two months. Despite the devastating French attacks which left only some three-hundred survivors, the nearly destroyed city never surrendered. Eventually, on 7 September, the Spanish army relieved the city and defeated the French force. Since then, the anniversary of the Spanish victory is celebrated annually on 8 September.
