First separate edition of the first Hungarian linguistic study on the Dakota language.

Written by the Hungarian linguist and ethnologist, Pál Hunfalvy (1810–1891), a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The paper is the transcription of Hunfalvy’s speech, held in two sections at the Academy in 1856, basically a summarized translation of Stephen Return Riggs’ 1852 book “A Grammar and Dictionary of the Dakota Language” (Smithsonian Contributions to Knowledge. Vol. IV.).
