(Budapest): (1950). In original, modest burlap with red fringes. Title page printed in gold. Contains 45 original photographs, in various sizes ca. 220–230 × 160–170 mm. 24 album card leaves, separated with tracing paper. In fine condition.

The unique and representative album – most likely a present to a comrade – is showing the collection of the exhibition of the Institution of the Hungarian Labour Movement, that was opened in 1950.

The exhibition presented the history of the Hungarian and international labour movement in chronological order, from the Revolutions of 1848 until the end of WWII, the “liberation” of Hungary by the Red Army. The images of the album showing all the ten halls of the museum, starting with the entrance room where the busts of Lenin, Stalin and the Hungarian leader of the Communist Party, Mátyás Rákosi were displayed. Each hall was dedicated to a certain era and showed it in a propagandistic way. Introduced the well-known symbols of the labour movement, the most important posters of the Hungarian Soviet Republic and the prominent figures of the Hungarian and international Communism, with a strong emphasis on Rákosi.
