Inscribed concert program of the Philharmonia Hungarica with Yehudi Menuhin, conducted by Gilbert Varga.
The concerts took place at Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, during the tour of the German-based Philharmonia Hungarica, whose Chief Conductor was Gilbert Varga at the time, and was accompanied by Yehudi Menuhin.
Philharmonia Hungarica was established in 1957 in Vienna of Hungarian musicians fled their homeland after the 1956 revolution. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, in 1990 the Orchestra, made its debut tour with Yehudi Menuhin to Hungary.
