Nickolas Muray (1892–1965) was a Hungarian-born American photographer and Olympic fencer. Best know for his photographs of Frida Kahlo with whom he had a love affair for ten years in the 1930s.
Boyd Marshall (1884–1950) was an American actor of the stage and screen. Together with his wife, Mitzi Hajos, performed in numerous Broadway shows, among them in “The Magic Ring” in 1923, whose previous title was ‘Minnie an’ me” which with Mitzi’s name is written on the verso of this portrait.
