(Budapest: Világosság nyomda. 1909. With fourty, mostly full page illustrations. Front cover illustrated. First edition. In publisher’s orange wrappers, bound with two green silk ribbon. 44 leaves. Light spotting at edges of wrappers. A brown stain on spine. Spotting on few leaves with no effect on the images. Overall in fine condition.

First edition of Tichy’s collection of erotic, Art Nouveau drawings.

Gyula Tichy (1879-1920) was a Hungarian painter and graphic artist, strongly influenced by the works of Aubry Beardsley. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and then at a private art school in Munich. “Egy tusos üveg meséi” is his most famous collection of graphical works.
