A first poetic translation and an early edition of two Shakespeare-comedies in Czech.
1. Komedie plná omylů [The Comedy of Errors]: The Comedy of Errors was the first Shakespeare drama to be translated into Czech. The translator was Antonín Marek and Omylowé, his translation in prose, was published in 1823 (Prague, Wdowa Josefa Fetterlowá z Wildenbrunnu). The present text, Komedie plná omylů is the first edition of the first poetic translation into Czech, by Jan Josef Čejka.
2. Mnoho povyku pro nic za nic [Much Ado About Nothing]: This is the second edition of the first translation of the play into Czech. The translator was Jakub Malý. The first edition was published in 1859 (Prague: Matice česká).
