Heilbronn: Amon, (ca. 1795). Engraved musical score. Oblong. Illustrated title (illegible engraved signature; No. 14). Papered spine. Plate number: 52. 6 [2 (blank)] p. First and last pages are dusted. Light water stain on the first leaf. Foxing throughout. The second leaf torn at the upper edge with a tiny loss to the print space, but no effect on legibility, restored by sewing by an old hand. Overall in very good condition.

First edition of this very early version of Figaro’s aria Se vuol ballare from the first act of Mozart’s opera La Nozze di Figaro. The libretto is an uncommon German translation of the original Italian lyrics by Lorenzo Da Ponte. Figaro’s bass-baritone is transposed into treble clef with harpsichord accompaniment.
