A scarce collection of separately published pieces, issued with a general title page by Zinani’s publisher Ercoliano Bartoli. The volume comprises the customary printed dedication and introduction, an errata (Registro) with separate title page at the end, and ten works by Zinani: Rime; Il caride favola pastorale; L'amico over del sospiro; Le due giornate della Ninfa over del Diletto, et delle Muse; Il viandante, overo della precedenza, dell’ armi, et delle lettere; Il soldato, over della fortezza; L'amante, overo sollevatioone[!] dalla bellezza dell'amata alla bellezza di Dio; L'amata, overo della virtù heroica; Il sogno, overo Della poesia; L'amante secondo. These works were originally issued in Reggio and one in Parma (L'amante secondo, by Erasmo Viotti) in 1590 and 1591, and they cover the vast majority of Zinani’s lifetime published literary oeuvre.

Gabriele Zinani (1557–1635) was an Italian author of dialogues, treaties, heroic poems and dramas. He is regarded as a Marinist poet, writing in an ornate, witty style, like his contemporary, Giambattista Marino.
